J:4 THE PROPHETS

The Prophets of the Old Testament are designated into groups in the Bible. The Major Prophets (Historical) which are the Former Prophets prior to the New Testament and the Minor Prophets or the Latter Prophets (Prophetic). They are listed here in Chronological order. Their names and *Signification, where applicable, are as follows:

Elijah – This Prophet is mentioned in the article C12/J2/The Prophets. He was an Exemplary individual and Man of GOD by his own admission and GOD verified his Declaration by Signs from Heaven. At a later time GOD took him up from the Earth while he was still alive. He is the only other person who GOD Translated from the Earth without the experience of Death Elijah was translated in a chariot of fire. It is written in the New Testament that Elijah and Moses appeared to JESUS CHRIST at HIS Transfiguration witnessed by HIS Disciples/Apostles. Some believe that it was Enoch and Elijah that was on the Mount of Transfiguration since these are the only two people who have not experienced Death. Moses was believed to have died after his departure from the Nation of Israel just before they entered into the Promised Land. You may read the Narrative at
