E:1 GOD’S Divine Will – Directives To Obedience It was not an opportunity for selection of a Preference as when GOD brought the newly created animals to him for naming. At that “Opportunity” GOD brought the newly created animals to Adam as a Possession of Mankind’s Dominion and Permitted him to Choose a name according to their Nature utilizing his Spiritual Intuition and his Spiritual Knowledge which was Spiritual Wisdom, given to him through his Spiritual Fellowship with GOD, and Worship and Right Relationship to GOD. See >> RELATIONSHIP & RELATIVITY << A Commandment, Not A Choice GOD told Adam not to eat the Forbidden Fruit of the Interdicted Tree, it was not a choice, it was a Direct Order, an Injunction and a Commandment. A Commandment is to be Obeyed without the use of Discretion. A Commandment is GOD’S Will. GOD gave man a Will and gave him the Choice of Obeying HIM. Choice does not Negate the Commandment. Making a Choice involved the act of Choosing; the voluntary act of selecting or separating from two or more Options, that which is Preferred; or the Determination of the Mind in Preferring one thing to another. GOD gave Man the Rational Will to Obey HIM with the Commandment to do the Will of the Sovereign LORD of his Life and of his Earthly Dominion. Man’s responsibility was to Believe, Trust, Depend and Obey GOD. Man, however, did none of these things but the complete opposite and caused his downward descent into the Kingdom of Darkness and the World of Sin. Man’s only choice, in Reality, was Life or Death. To obey GOD was Life. To Disobey God was Death. The Liar, Satan – the devil, told them otherwise. The Lie of godhood deceived Mankind into thinking he could depend on and sustain himself. Joh_8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. Note: Although GOD created Mankind as a Rational Being, HE did not Presume HE would know Right from Wrong. HE informed and taught Man what was Right, what was Wrong and what HE expected of him. GOD Explained there would be Negative Consequences if Mankind did not Obey HIS Commandments and HIS Directives. The Consequences, if he Disobeyed the Divine Cosmic Law of GOD, was Death, the Loss of Life and all that Sustains it and all that Consist within it. Act_17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Col_1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Mankind may not have known exactly what Death was but he knew it would be the Negative Result if he Disobeyed GOD; he knew GOD did not Desire him to have, use or eat of the Fruit of the Interdicted Tree; he knew GOD did not want him to Die; he knew it was the Antithesis to Good; that it was Diametrically Opposed to GOD’S Will and that the “Act of eating of the “Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil” and using his Self Will was in Opposition to GOD’S Will and would not Please GOD as his Sovereign LORD. See the Series – >> The Carnal Deception << You Can Not Serve Two Masters CHRIST, the Lord taught the utter impossibility of “Loving and Serving the Carnal World” with the Carnal things influenced by the Lusts of the Mind and Flesh and “Loving GOD and the Spiritual things of GOD” with the Spiritual influences of the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT at the same time. In other words, a Man of the Carnal World, a Man with a Carnal Mind who Lusts after the Carnal things of the World, cannot be a Disciple of CHRIST, a Person with a Spiritual Mind or a Child of GOD, a Believer. He who gives his Heart, Love or Friendship to the World Robs GOD and becomes the Enemy of GOD, the True Possessor of all Life and all that Consist. See >> Whom Will You Serve? << Jas 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. Enmity is the Quality of being an Enemy; the opposite of Friendship; it is ill will; Hatred; unfriendly Dispositions; Malevolence. It expresses more than Aversion and less than Malice, and Differs from Displeasure in denoting a Fixed or Rooted Hatred, whereas displeasure is more Transient. There is Enmity between the Kingdom of Light. and the Kingdom of Darkness which is comprised of the >> Two Divisions of Mankind. << Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. The Carnal Enemy and Adversary of Man, the devil, the prince and god of this World, has the Power of Death which is the Culmination of Wickedness and Iniquity, the Spiritual Enemies of Mankind which result in Death, because the End Result, the Wages or Reward of Sin is Death. Jas_1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. Rom_6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Sin, the cares and lures of the World, and every Spiritual Enemy are the devices the devil uses to beguile Mankind and he causes “blindness” in the mind of the Unbeliever, his Victims, who are those who are without the Protection and Shield of the HOLY GHOST/HOLY SPIRIT. 2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. CHRIST came into the World to bring Light into the World; and to Judge and Destroy the devil. HE became Incarnated; was Born of Flesh & Blood; made Man; made under the Law; Fulfilled the Law (of Moses); Abolished the >> Old Covenant << and Ushered in the Spiritual Dispensation and the >> New Covenant << which is called – the >> New Testament. << Heb_8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away. Heb_8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Mat_26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. The Mercy of GOD – The Spiritual Dispensation Gal 4:3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: Luk_4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, Joh 16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. Mat 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. The young rich man had the desire to hear CHRIST and Obey HIS Commandments until it interfered with his Love for his Carnal Riches and his Lifestyle. He had to choose between GOD and Mammon and although it “sorrowed” him, he chose not to follow CHRIST or sell his possessions. He had his Version of Truth and Reality of himself as being “on the right road” but inwardly or intuitively he knew he lacked something or he would not have sought CHRIST. He believed CHRIST knew the Truth but when he heard it, he could not Obey HIM, he believed it demanded too much of him. He had a Carnal Mind and his Carnal Reasoning stipulated why he should not follow CHRIST. He could not give up his Carnal Worldly riches. To give up what CHRIST dictated would mean Renouncing his Carnal Possessions; his Worldly Status; his Influence; his Reputation; his Self Image; his Comfort; his Future as he saw it, and suddenly, Eternal Life was not the Priority of his Life anymore. He interpreted what he thought was Right and decided to Hold on to his Riches and chose the Act of Self Will and the Carnal Concept of Life – Mammon. Mat 19:24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Delusion – The Carnal Deception Mankind was beguiled because he had Listened to the serpent whose Concept of Life was in complete Disharmony with GOD’S Concept of Life for Mankind. Adam/Mankind contemplated an external source of information, and developed the Concept of Two Possible Realities in his Mind that were Diametrically Opposed. One was the Truth and the other was a Lie, a Carnal Deception. Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: See the Series – Adam & Eve had limited information but the information they had was sufficient if they had remained in GOD’S Will; if they had kept their Belief in GOD, and was in Obedience to GOD’S Will. But as Biblical History has shown, Mankind did not Believe or Rely on GOD, did not Depend on HIM but on themselves and did not Obey HIM. CHRIST has stipulated we can not serve two masters, we will serve one and despise the other, Love one and hate the other. See >> Rulers of the Kingdoms << Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. See >> Whom Will You Serve? << The Lie of Godhood Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Sin – The Corruption of Life Gen 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. What happened to them appears to have been a Logical Moral Digression, an Operation that followed the Sinful Act. After they ate the Fruit their Reality became Infected with Sin and Corruption which was the Depravity; Perversion and Deterioration of Truth, Moral Principles, the Loss of Innocence and Purity and the Loss of Integrity of the Reality of Truth, Good and GOD. See the Series >> the CARNAL DECEPTION Parts I – VI << Corruption of Truth and Reality Fear is a Painful Emotion or Passion excited by an Expectation of Evil, or the Apprehension of Impending Danger. Fear Expresses less apprehension than dread, and dread less than Terror and Fright. The Force of this passion, beginning with the most moderate degree, may be thus expressed, Fear, Dread, Terror, Fright. Fear is accompanied with a desire to avoid or ward off the expected Evil. Fear is an uneasiness of Mind, upon the Thought of Future Evil likely to befall us. Fear, then, is the Passion of our nature which excites us to provide for our Security, on the approach of evil which was Evidenced by Adam & Eve hiding themselves from GOD among the trees. Gen_3:8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. Gen_3:10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. See – >> (Sin) The Corruption of Joy << The Loss of Joy 2Co 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? See >> Rulers of the Kingdoms << Before sin, Mankind only knew Love, Joy, Peace, its Fruits and its Seeds. After the Corruption of sin they hid themselves from GOD in Fear. They no longer knew the Singular Reality of Truth, Blessedness and complete Joy, their Minds were enslaved by their sin and they were no longer Free. They had become the Servants of sin and they were in Bondage to sin. Joh 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. Rebellion There was not a choice or preference to be made in Adam’s situation when he was given the Directive and Commandments, so it was clear Rebellion; he disobeyed GOD’S orders; HIS Commandment not to eat the Fruit of the interdicted tree; he resisted GOD’S Commandment and followed his own Self Will. Making a decision or selecting a preference is to bear in advance, in the mind, Affections or Choice or to regard something more than another or to Honor or Esteem one thing Above Another. Contempt of Authority They wanted to Appease their Lust “to Know” and the Lust for “godhood”. Contempt, in Human Law, is disobedience of the rules and orders of Authority, which is a Punishable Offense ranging from Pecuniary fines of a Civilian to a Soldier being shot and Killed for not following a Superior Officer’s orders, especially on the Battlefield. Adam’s offense was comparatively the equivalent of all the above and Man received the Death Penalty for the Sin of Disobedience and all it entailed. Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? Commandment vs Choice The penalty of sin, death and the consequences which caused the alienation from GOD, was not for choosing an alternative, but for Unbelief in GOD and for refusal to Obey GOD as the Sovereign GOD and LORD; for the sin of disobedience; for choosing to Obey the devil (Satan) and in Principle chose him as the god of his World which also made them guilty of Spiritual Adultery which is Idolatry. He who commits sin is a servant/slave of sin and Man’s mind became enslaved in the World of sin; Spiritual blindness; Perplexity and Confusion. This was the beginning of the influence of the devil’s Power of Darkness over Mankind. 2Co 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Luk 22:53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness. The sin of disobedience of Adam and Eve caused all of Mankind to be born Spiritually Dead in Sin; Born into Slavery; Born in Bondage to Sin; having Minds that are Naturally (Carnally), ignorant of the Holiness of GOD; being the servants of the devil; having their Minds Blinded by him; Living a Carnal Concept of Life in ignorance and in Spiritual Blindness and Darkness until Called into the Spiritual Light of CHRIST. The Mercy of GOD GOD in HIS Infinite Mercy and Grace sent HIS SON into the World to bring Light into the World to Save HIS People, HIS Children. HE came to give HIS People Light that they may be delivered from the Power of Darkness and after Spiritual Conversion through being Born Again of the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT and throughthe Rebirth, Regeneration and Restoration of the SPIRIT of GOD, Indwelling within us, we are Reconciled to GOD and Translated into the Kingdom of HIS dear SON. Col 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: Joh 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. The Gospel of the Kingdom of GOD/Heaven Preached during the Ushering in of the Spiritual Dispensation by JESUS CHRIST turned the Minds of Mankind from the outward Carnal Ordinances of the Old Covenant to the inward Spiritual Principles of the Gospel of GOD/Heaven, the New Testament, that we may Worship GOD in Spirit and in Truth. Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
