The Grand Design – Divine Grace: Salvation
The Grand Design emerged from GOD’S Divine Plan, a subsequent action, due to Man’s corruption of his Spiritual Life through sin – unbelief and disobedience and after his descent from the Spiritual Realm into the World of darkness. GOD, through HIS Eternal Counsels and in HIS Infinite Mercy Designed a Way to Save Mankind and satisfy the Penalty of sin required by Justice. The Mercy given was in the form of the Covenant of Redemption & Grace which is purposed in CHRIST JESUS, as our Redeemer and Savior.

Joh 6:39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
It is GOD’S Will, through HIS Grand Design, that all people continue in Faith, which is purposed in CHRIST JESUS, ordained in Genesis 3:15, and have the Resurrection unto Life Eternal. But HE Wills this continuance in Salvation, without purposing to force any individual.
When a man cooperates with the Grace of GOD, through Faith in CHRIST JESUS, he is Saved; when he receives that Grace of GOD in vain, he is lost – not through a lack of Will or Mercy of GOD, but through the man’s lack of his cooperation with Divine Grace. GOD saves man as a reasonable and rational being and as a free agent.
Obedience
Obedience is hearing with Reverence and Obedient Assent. It is the Consent, Agreement or Affirmation of what is Commanded. It is the Supreme test of Faith in GOD and Reverence to HIM. When a person becomes a Disciple of CHRIST (a Christian), he agrees to follow CHRIST and HIS Commandments which are GOD’S Commandments and GOD’S Divine Will.
Baptism
Baptism, a ceremonial Christian rite is an immersion in water, performed as a sign of the removal of sin and a Affirmation and Assent to the Faith and the Will of GOD. Baptism is the symbolic rite that depicts the death of the “old man” being immersed in a watery grave and then being raised up into a “new life” as in the Death, Burial and Resurrection of JESUS CHRIST. Christians enter into Covenant with CHRIST and becomes one of HIS Disciples and the people of GOD. Mat 3:1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,
Mat 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Mat 3:3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
Mat 3:6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.
Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Disobedience and Loss of Dominion
The first recorded case of disobedience was, of course, Adam and Eve. The following King (Adam was the first) had the same result of loss. Because of disobedience, he also lost his Kingdom and dominion.
King Saul & the Amalekites
King Saul was commanded to destroy a people who had persecuted the Israelites. They constantly killed the most feeble and the weak who could not defend themselves while Israel was wandering in the wilderness. They had filled their cup of iniquity and GOD told hm to utterly destroy everything; all of the people and all of the animals, but he did not obey the Commandment, being swayed by the men in the army to take the best of the things for sacrifice to GOD; disobeying GOD’S direct Commandment.
The Prophet Samuel, who had conveyed GOD’S Commandment and who confronted King Saul on his return told him the “offerings and sacrifices were not better than obedience”. He also stated “disobedience is rebellion which is as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness as the sin of iniquity and idolatry”.
1Sa 15:22 And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
1Sa 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
The race of Mankind became a race of sinners, being made in the image of their progenitor Adam, who disobeyed GOD and was condemned with his descendants to death. But through Faith in CHRIST, who was in complete obedience to the Will of GOD and through the Grace of GOD, HIS people are freed of sin and made righteous and heirs of Eternal Life.
Rom 5:19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
Rom 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
Rom 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
For Our Good
GOD’S Will is not in opposition to anything good that we desire for ourselves. HE desires better. It is written, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind (heart) has ever imagined the things that GOD has prepared for those who love him.”
1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which GOD hath prepared for them that love him.
No matter what we want or what we can imagine we want, GOD wants even better for us. The Scripture dictates we can’t begin to imagine it. However, the next Scripture says, “GOD has revealed these things”, has made them known, to HIS people by the means of HIS Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit searches everything, even the hidden depths of GOD’S purposes.
1Co 2:10 But GOD hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of GOD.
GOD’S Grand Design – The Gospel of Restoration
At the acceptable time GOD sent HIS Son JESUS CHRIST to Earth to complete HIS Covenant Work as Messiah, Savior, Redeemer, King, and “Sacrificial Lamb”, among many other “WORKS”, Offices and Titles. HE began HIS Earthly Ministry by seeking the Remnant of Israel and the lost sheep of Israel, the outcasts, the poor, sick and bruised.
He went throughout HIS country, teaching in their synagogues, on the mountainside and upon the hills proclaiming the Gospel of the Kingdom of GOD and healing every disease and every illness among the people. HIS fame spread throughout the country and people brought to HIM all who were sick and those afflicted with various diseases, the demon-possessed, the epileptics, the blind, the crippled and the paralyzed and HE healed them all.
Luk 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
It was GOD’S Will to send the Consolation of Israel to the Faithful Remnant at this time in the History of Israel. GOD anointed CHRIST with the Holy Spirit without measure and being with HIM in Power HE released all those who were oppressed by the devil; those who were living in darkness; in bondage of sin and as ordained through the Eternal Counsels of the GODHEAD, HE destroyed the works of the devil.
1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Act 10:38 How GOD anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for GOD was with him.
Isa 9:2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
1Jn 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Joh 10:38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
