PART B. The Divine Plan: Mankind
GOD created Mankind as a special part of Creation with the ability to reason and the capacity to choose the right, good and best in obedience through Spiritual Fellowship with GOD. Man was created for Spiritual Worship, Spiritual Service of the LORD and Spiritual Joy. GOD’S Will was enjoying a Spiritual Loving and Provisional relationship with Mankind who was a part of the Family of GOD. Living in obedience to GOD’S Will culminates to being the highest source of Joy to which Mankind can attain. Mankind was also given Dominion of the Planet Earth and Sovereignty over everything that moved on it.
It is the Will of the LORD that every Soul who believes in HIM and obeys HIM should continue in Faith, partake of HIS Divine Nature, and Live a Life of Joy which is different and better than Happiness which is dependent on Transient Emotions. Luk 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
Mankind Deviates from the Divine Plan
After the sin of disobedience our first parents suffered Spiritual death which separated Mankind from GOD and from the Spiritual Fellowship, Spiritual Worship, and Spiritual Service for which he was created. Another result of the sin was Earth becoming a World inhabited by a race of humans who were born in the “image of Adam” which were now “Spiritually dead in sin”, due to Adam’s trespass and transgression of the Law, with Satan (the devil) as its ruler.
Gen 5:3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:
Mankind was lost and doomed under the Wrath of the Law according to Divine Justice until the Divine Counsels of GOD made provision through the Birth of CHRIST and the Covenanted Works of the GODHEAD, made Reconciliation for the people of GOD and a Way for Forgiveness of sin through CHRIST JESUS.
1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
CHRIST also came into the World to Judge the devil (Satan), to cast him out of the World and to destroy his works; sin, evil, death and hell.
1Jn 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of GOD was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Joh 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
Joh 16:11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
CHRIST spoke of the “dead” condition of Mankind to one who wished to follow HIM after receiving the Command from CHRIST – “Follow ME” but wanted to take care of carnal (Worldly) business and family obligations FIRST.
Luk 9:59 And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
Luk 9:60 Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.
CHRIST was dictating the order of priority for those who claim they want to follow HIM. The Kingdom of GOD should always be first priority because if we are in obedience to GOD’S Will, everything by necessity will follow in perfect correlation which is always righteous and best whether we are able to perceive it to be or not. This is why it is necessary to have the Holy Ghost. GOD’S ways are Spiritual and the carnal mind (the Worldly mind) is enmity against GOD and can not understand Spiritual things. We must follow GOD through Faith and with the direction we get from the Holy Ghost which enables us to understand and desire GOD’S Will. This is referenced in the Lord’s Prayer.
Excerpt from the Lord’s Prayer
Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
The above Scriptures are referring to the people who desire to follow CHRIST…BUT! Other reasons and concerns enter their Mind and they Falter. Anything that comes between a person and GOD or keeps them from obeying GOD’S Will or from following HIM is an idol and the person is guilty of idolatry because they are disobedient to GOD’S Will. They would have let something else take GOD’S place in their heart where HIS Throne should be.
Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
Luk 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
The Scripture above, Luke 9:62, is referring to a farmer who has made up his mind to plough (plow) his field, preparing to break up the ground, the first phase of planting so it is ready to receive the seeds from the sower, but has a second thought to other activities he could be doing even as his hand is on the plough (plow). His mind is no longer focused on his true intent (plowing his field) he is becoming torn between what he wants to do and what he needs do as was the person who received the direct Command from CHRIST to “Follow ME”, in Luke 9:59.
Remember Lot’s Wife
An emblematic equivalent of this situation would be the wife of Lot who with her family was separated from the city (Sodom & Gommorah) that was going to be destroyed because of sin. Lot’s family was told to flee from the city and not to look back. They left but at some point Lot’s wife disobeyed and looked back. She lost her Life; being turned into a pillar of salt.
She had begun her departure but her mind was not focused on obedience and escape. Her mind was still in the city. Possibly she was thinking about her family that was still there (although they were forewarned by Lot to leave the city because of GOD’S Judgment) or about her friends, or their property that was being destroyed. Whatever the reason, her frame of mind, her disobedience and the act of looking back caused her to share the plight of the condemned city and it was the cause of her destruction and her death.
Gen 19:26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.
Luk 17:31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
Luk 17:32 Remember Lot’s wife.
