K – THE MANIFOLD WORKS OF JESUS CHRIST/PURPOSE

Eph 3:10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
Eph 3:11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love.
A Purpose
A Purpose is that which one sets before himself as an object to be reached or accomplished; the end or aim to which the view is directed in any Plan, Measure or Exertion.
GOD created Mankind for HIMSELF, for HIS Honor, Pleasure and for HIS Glory. Man was made in the Image and “Likeness” of GOD, Possessing the Ability to Know GOD, to Love HIM, to Serve HIM, to have Fellowship with HIM and to Worship HIM.
Mar_12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Gen 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

The Purpose of GOD – JESUS CHRIST
Mat 18:11 For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.

The Bible is full of Scriptures which speak of the Work of CHRIST (the WORD) before the Foundation of the World and in the Dawn of Time. In fact, they depict GOD Creating all things by JESUS CHRIST and that by HIM God made the Worlds.
Heb 1:1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Heb 1:2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
JESUS CHRIST was sent to Earth by GOD to complete Works which were Ordained before the Foundation of the World. JESUS CHRIST Accomplished these Works through:
- HIS Incarnation,
- Birth,
- Ministry,
- Death,
- Resurrection,
- and HIS Ascension.

In the beginning GOD Decreed that THEY would create the First Man (First Adam) in HIS Image. The second Man (the Last Adam – JESUS CHRIST) is the Express Image of GOD as Mankind is to be. JESUS CHRIST is the Begotten of GOD and because HE Attained Perfection HE was the First Begotten of the Dead, they who are HIS People and HIS Brethren. CHRIST is the First Fruits of the Resurrected Dead. The First Adam was of the Earth, the Second Man (the Last Adam – JESUS CHRIST) is the Lord from Heaven. JESUS CHRIST not only Created the World but HE upholds all Creation.
JESUS CHRIST came into the World HE Created and purged our sins by HIMSELF, with HIS Own Body/Blood as the Perfect Sacrifice and Ascended to the FATHER on High. JESUS CHRIST was the Last/Second Adam and the Believer’s/HIS People New Sovereign Head of the Resurrected Human Race.
Heb 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
1Co_15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
Rev 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
Heb 10:8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
Heb 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
The Perfect Obedience of JESUS CHRIST
Heb_10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
Although Mankind was created to Love (to Obey) GOD, he was not able to do it on his own strength. Sin entered into the World because Adam and Eve did not have the Power to Resist Evil (Sin/the devil) and consequently they became Lost (Separated from GOD) and in bondage to Sin and Death as was also their Progeny (Descendants) who sinned in Adam as the Seminal or Federal Head of Mankind. So Mankind Lived under the general Covenant of Grace given to Adam, Noah, or Abraham. All lived under the curse of Death until the Works of JESUS CHRIST which made Mankind Alive through HIS Quickening Spirit.
1Co 15:20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
1Co 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
1Co_15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co_15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
Individual Choices – Each time individuals are tempted to Sin they are given an opportunity to choose GOD and to submit to GOD the FATHER’S Will (to Obey HIM) or to submit to Satan the devil (to Obey him). Our first Parents were given the opportunity to choose the Truth but they made a Selfish choice to their detriment. They wanted to follow their own will. If individuals Obey the devil they are serving and worshiping him instead of GOD the FATHER which is a Transgression of GOD’S Divine Cosmic Law. See >> GOD’S DIVINE COSMIC LAW C 6 <<
Rom 6:16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
When JESUS came to Earth HE Obeyed everything GOD had Commanded HIM to do even being Obedient unto death. JESUS CHRIST voluntarily laid down HIS Life to take it again meaning the >> Resurrection << See >> The Perfect Obedience of JESUS CHRIST. <<
Php_2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
JESUS CHRIST also came to Earth to Destroy the devil and the Works of the devil which include Sin and Death. HIS Incarnation, Birth, Ministry, Passion (Suffering) Death, Resurrection, Ascension and all of HIS Human and Spiritual Experiences were a Facet of GOD’S Divine Plan and Grand Design.
Joh_10:17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
Joh 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.
1Jn_3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Heb_2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
1Jn_3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
JESUS CHRIST was tempted by the devil but HE rebuked him, casting him away from HIMSELF. Through the Works of JESUS CHRIST and the Indwelling of the HOLY SPIRIT/GHOST, which is given to Believers, we too can Resist the devil.
Luk_4:8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Jas_4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

The Archetypes
Initially, Adam & Eve, other ancient Biblical characters and the Nation of Israel were positive Archetypes of Mankind. After their Corruption in Sin they depicted a different a they became. Nothing begins as evil but the possibility for Corruption (Sin) is always possible in the Unregenerate World. JESUS CHRIST came to Earth and was sent into the World to deliver us from the Bondage of Sin which is Separation from GOD.
Rom_5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
Adam was the Figure of HIM (CHRIST JESUS) who was to come and WHO was also the “Promised Seed”, “Savior”, “SON of GOD”, and “Messiah” prophesied to Adam, Eve, Abraham and Israel (Jacob)/the Nation of Israel. The similarity between the Archetypes Adam and the Nation of Israel, etc. are as follows:
The Covenants – Adam and the Nation of Israel etc. had a Covenant with GOD that stipulated the terms of Obedience and Reward or Disobedience and Punishment which meant if they Obeyed GOD they would possess HIS Protection, Provisions – a Fulfilling Life and Blessings or if they Disobeyed GOD they would suffer the Curse of Sin which is the Loss of the Blessings, Pain and Suffering and finally Death. Both had a Citizenship in the Kingdom of GOD/Heaven with GOD as their Head and Provider. Both were given “Prime Properties”, Promises and Blessings as an Inheritance if they were Obedient to GOD. Demonstration – The Nation of Israel had Adam and Eve, Sodom & Gomorrah and the whole Antediluvian World, which were destroyed because of Sin, as a demonstration of the Wrath of GOD when HE was Disobeyed. But this did not persuade the Nation of Israel, not to Sin against GOD anymore than all of the above does not persuade those in this Modern Sphere of Time not to Sin. GOD had also demonstrated HIS Power while Israel was in Egypt but the god of this World, the devil, (Satan) blinds the Minds of Unbelievers and deceives the whole World.
2Co_4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Jud 1:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Rev_12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

The disobedient Victims of Sin were eventually “Evicted or Dispersed” from their Paradisaical Habitation because of Disobedience, Unbelief and the Penalty of Sin which is Death. They are an example to all people of our Time of the Consequences of Disobedience to GOD and Unbelief.
2Pe 2:6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
Biblical History and Israel etc. depict Examples, Figures and Emblems for us in Modern Times. They demonstrate and display Sin in various Forms and the Penalties of Pain and Death Suffered because of Sin. This is for our Admonition, to remind us of the Physical and Spiritual Worlds and the Struggle between Good and Evil for our Souls . Biblical History also Demonstrate the Love and Joy we can Experience through Fellowship with GOD through CHRIST and the HOLY SPIRIT/GHOST in our Daily Life.
1Co 10:6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
1Co 10:7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
1Co 10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
1Co 10:9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
1Co 10:10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
1Co 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
1Co 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
Sin Separates Mankind from GOD.
The following Scriptures depict the Prophet Isaiah addressing Israel’s behavior of Disobedience and may serve also as an Admonishment to us to prevent our falling into the same Errors and suffering the same punishments, the worse being the Eternal Separation from GOD.
Isa 59:1 Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
Isa 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Isa 59:3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
Isa 59:4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
Isa 59:7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.
Isa 59:8 The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.
The Perfect Obedience of JESUS CHRIST
1Pe 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
There is an examples for Believers throughout the Bible. The Best we have is CHRIST JESUS HIMSELF.

GOD’S Purposes are Manifested in JESUS CHRIST who is the Expressed Image of GOD, and through the Manifold Works of JESUS CHRIST, the SON of GOD, who is One with the FATHER before the Foundation of the World. HE is One with the FATHER not only in Agreement, being that while HE was on Earth HE Lived in accordance to the Will of GOD in complete and Perfect Obedience, but HE is also of the same Substance, the same Essence as the FATHER.
Joh 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Joh 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
Joh 10:30 I and my Father are one.
Joh 10:38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
Joh_14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

The Fulfillment of The Law
Mat_5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Through HIS Obedience, JESUS CHRIST Fulfilled ALL that GOD the FATHER Commanded HIM to do. All of the Mosaic Law (Law of Moses) Foreshadowed and Pointed to JESUS CHRIST and through HIS Person HE Fulfilled the Law in its Entirety. HE Abrogated the Mosaic Law (Law of Moses) by Superseding it and Ushered in the Spiritual Gospel Dispensation. HE is Unique, HE is the First of HIS Kind and HE is the First Born SON of GOD, Born of the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD. Through JESUS CHRIST Believers are given the POWER to BECOME the Sons of GOD; BORN of the SPIRIT of GOD.
Joh_1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Joh_1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
JESUS CHRIST is the Exegesis of GOD the FATHER; EMMANUEL/IMMANUEL (GOD with us). CHRIST has Declared GOD to us. CHRIST is the Believer’s Prophet, Preacher; Healer; Advocate; Intercessor; High Priest; Mediator; Testator; King, and Messiah. HE is also our Paschal Sacrificial Lamb of GOD (Passover) Self-Sacrificed so that the Destroyer (Death) will Pass Over us when the Wrath of GOD is released upon Unbelievers at Judgment.
CHRIST is the Word made Flesh (Incarnated); the SON of GOD (Manifested); the Embodiment of the >> GODHEAD; << One who Reconciles; the Believer’s Counselor; Lord; Redeemer; Savior; A Perfect Sacrifice; the Destroyer of Death; the Destroyer of Satan – the devil/the serpent/the dragon; The Destroyer of all Sin, Iniquity and Evil. HE is the Believer’s Resurrection; the First Fruit; Heir of all things; the Head of the Spiritual Church; the Brightness of GOD’S Glory; the Creator of the World; the Expressed Image of GOD; the Last/Second Adam; GOD Manifested in the Flesh, the ONE who Purges our Sins and is the Propitiation for our Sins. CHRIST has led Captivity Captive and Believers are now Free from the Bondage of Sin. Eph_4:8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
Psa_68:18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.
Joh_17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

JESUS CHRIST completed HIS Work on Earth and has Shed the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT as a Comforter and Teacher for Believers on Earth. One of the things we Know HE is Accomplishing is HIS Work as High Priest, King, Advocate, etc. and HE is Preparing a Place for Believers, HIS People. JESUS CHRIST is at the Right Hand of GOD, an Exalted Position of Authority and at this Time the Angels, Authorities, and Powers are made Subject to HIM. Act_2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Fatherthe promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
1Pe 3:21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
1Pe_3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
The “Manifold Works of JESUS CHRIST” mentioned in this article just the tip of the iceberg. The Works of CHRIST were all Ordained, Commanded and Sanctioned by GOD from the Foundation of the World with the Initiation of >> GOD’S Divine Plan << and the Implementation of the >> Grand Design << after Sin entered into the World through Adam.
Everything has been Regulated by the Wisdom of GOD and HIS Holy Counsels; by the Design and Formation of the Covenants; by the Reformation of the Covenants; by the Sending of JESUS CHRIST to Earth, who was Made of a Woman and Born under the Law of Moses to Fulfill it and to Abrogate it to Effect the Salvation of Mankind and Reconciling Mankind to GOD by the Fulfillment of the Promise of the HOLY GHOST/SPIRIT, allowing Mankind to Partake of GOD’S Divine Nature which is Holy and LOVE.
2Pe_1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
JESUS CHRIST’S Future Works
JESUS CHRIST has Completed/Perfected HIS Earthly Ministry. However, there are some Cosmic Works spoken of and/or Alluded to which are under Subjection to CHRIST. These Works are not yet Revealed to us but we will know them when it is the Acceptable Time of GOD when we will see clearly (face to face) and know as we are known (have complete Knowledge Personally). We do know that CHRIST had gone to be with the FATHER, that HE is Preparing a Place for HIS People and that HE will Return to Raise them up on the last Day and HE will take Believers to the Place HE has Prepared for us.
1Co 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
Joh_14:2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Joh_14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
The Works of CHRIST are so vast that, as John the Apostle stated, “there would not be enough books in the World to contain them.“
Joh 21:24 This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.
Joh 21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
